1. Aim
Tinker Junkie works to make its content usable across devices and methods of interaction. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is a reference for improvements. No complete audit has been performed that would support a claim of conformance with every criterion.
2. Available features
The site provides semantic headings, skip links, responsive layouts and gallery controls with accessible names. The photo viewer can be closed with Escape and navigated using keyboard arrows. Historical instructions include text and diagrams.
3. Known limitations
- Some community photographs have generic alternative text identifying the contributor rather than describing the full visual content.
- Feature-card videos play automatically without a visible pause button. Nearby text summarises the feature but does not describe every action in the video.
- The guide’s diagrams include visual information that is not fully transcribed into text.
- Testing of all journeys with screen readers, magnification and contrast checks has not been completed.
Linked external websites have their own accessibility features and conditions.
4. Reporting a barrier
Email info@tinkerjunkie.com with the URL, what you were trying to do and, if possible, your device, browser or assistive technology. Avoid unnecessary personal information. We will review the issue and possible alternatives for accessing the information.
5. Updates
This page describes the known position and will be updated as features change or improvements and limitations are verified.
